1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, installing the app, or otherwise using VRYN ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

These Terms form a binding contract between you and VRYN (referred to as "we", "our", or "us").

2. Description of Service

VRYN is a unified notification inbox application that aggregates notifications from third-party services you connect (such as Discord, Slack, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Teams, and YouTube) into a single prioritized feed on your device. See the Privacy Policy for details on how your data is handled.

3. Eligibility and Accounts

• You must be at least 13 years old to use VRYN. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you must have your parent or legal guardian's permission.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use VRYN to:

• Access accounts that you do not own or have lawful permission to access.
• Attempt to extract, scrape, or redistribute other users' data.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the application or its binaries, except to the extent such restriction is prohibited by applicable law.
• Use the Service to violate any third-party service's terms.
• Send unsolicited messages, spam, or unlawful content through features that support replying.
• Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service or circumvent any security measures.
• Use the Service in any manner that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair it.

5. Third-Party Services

VRYN connects to third-party services (Discord, Slack, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Teams, YouTube, and others). Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for:

• The availability, accuracy, content, or behavior of third-party services.
• Any changes a third-party service makes to its APIs, rate limits, or permission scopes.
• Any fees, service interruptions, or data loss occurring on the third-party service.

When you disconnect a third-party service from VRYN, we revoke the OAuth token held on your device. Data that the third-party service has already stored remains subject to that service's own retention policy.

6. Subscriptions and Payments

VRYN offers a free tier and paid "VRYN Pro" subscription tiers. Paid subscriptions are processed through the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, or RevenueCat, as applicable.

• Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle unless cancelled.
• You may cancel at any time through the subscription management screen in the App Store, Play Store, or equivalent platform.
• Refunds are governed by the applicable platform's refund policy.
• Pricing and features may change; we will provide reasonable notice of any material changes to paid tiers.

7. Intellectual Property

All rights, title, and interest in and to the VRYN application, including the VRYN name, logo, interface, source code (except components released under open-source licenses), and documentation, are owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You retain all rights to notification content fetched from your connected services. VRYN claims no ownership over your data.

8. User Content

If you provide feedback, suggestions, or bug reports to us, you grant us a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to use that feedback to improve the Service.

9. Service Availability and Modifications

• The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or secure access.
• We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature or the entire Service at any time, with or without notice.
• We may impose limits on certain features or restrict access in our reasonable discretion, particularly where required to comply with applicable law or third-party platform requirements.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, VRYN IS PROVIDED WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

• We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill.
• Our total aggregate liability for any claim shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) USD $50.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability; in those jurisdictions, the provisions of this section apply to the fullest extent permitted by law.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

13. Termination

• You may terminate your account at any time from within the app (Settings → Security → Delete Account).
• We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, pose a risk to other users or the Service, or for extended periods of inactivity.
• On termination, your VRYN account and locally stored data will be deleted as described in the Privacy Policy.

14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state of the publisher's registered address, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts located in that jurisdiction, except where applicable law provides otherwise.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date and, for material changes, notify you in the app or by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
